The Hope Next Door
- Campaign
- Social Impact
Catholic Charities is one of the country’s largest social service networks, helping more than 16 million people each year with everything from housing and health care to workforce support, immigration services and disaster relief—regardless of faith or background. We partnered with Catholic Charities USA to turn that incredible scale into a deeply local invitation: volunteer where you live and become a neighbor helping neighbors.
A World of Good
To tell a story this big without losing its humanity, we chose animation—giving us the freedom to move fluidly across neighborhoods, people and needs, while avoiding the familiar cause marketing tropes. One act of service flows into another. A stocked pantry becomes a new set of house keys. A health check gives way to disaster relief. Different lives and places become one continuous world, connected by the simple act of showing up for someone else.
Bringing that world to life took some very talented neighbors of our own. We partnered with Moth on illustration and animation, with Joe Basile of The Chicken creating the original score + sound design.
The result was a campaign that could feel intimate up close and expansive at scale—just like Catholic Charities itself.
Hope on Wheels
Beyond the campaign, the anthem film welcomed people into The People of Hope Museum, an interactive experience celebrating the power and transformative impact of service to neighbors. The museum crossed the country, introducing thousands of visitors to the people and acts of service strengthening communities nationwide.
Hope Gets Around
The campaign paired a punchy voice with our illustrated neighbors—turning everyday acts of service into something distinctly Catholic Charities. The integrated campaign spanned broadcast, with :30 and :15 spots, along with digital, social, print and outdoor—giving our neighbors plenty of places to show up.
Meet Your Neighbors
They deliver meals. Mentor kids. Welcome newcomers. Help families rebuild. Just sit and listen. In big ways and small, they show up. They’re the people who turn Catholic Charities’ mission into action every day. Our campaign simply invited more neighbors to join them. And thousands did.
