Raised Hands Raise the Bar
Breck is a preschool-12, private school where all grades are joined together in one vibrant community in Golden Valley, Minnesota. With a mission to create confident learners and a vision for a refreshed future, they needed a new brand that embodied both their Episcopalian roots and their intellectual spirit. Together, we set out to distinguish and elevate the school from the other college preparatory schools in the Twin Cities area.
Growing Minds Want to Know
Our brand strategy for Breck centers around the core idea that education is more than imparting facts—it’s about cultivating a lifelong commitment to curiosity and growth. Through our discovery process, we found that Breck’s purpose, rooted in its role as a community of educators, parents, families, and friends, is to foster the unwavering pursuit of knowing. This means encouraging students to not only seek answers but to embrace the process of questioning, exploring, and discovering.
Ready for Any Field
At J2, we built a confident brand voice for Breck by focusing on its distinctive blend of tradition and forward-thinking innovation. We emphasized clear, bold messaging that reflects Breck’s leadership in education while resonating with a sense of warmth and approachability. This voice confidently highlights Breck’s vision and values, inspiring trust and pride within its community.
Together Towards Greatness
We took key elements of Breck’s logo and reimagined them as bold, modern patterns to build a strong and consistent visual identity. By deconstructing shapes and lines from the original logo, we created dynamic visuals that maintain the integrity of Breck’s brand while infusing it with a fresh, energetic feel. These patterns are versatile, allowing them to be applied across various platforms and materials, ensuring a cohesive look that reinforces Breck’s presence and confidence at every touchpoint.
“We found J2 to be both highly creative and intensely collaborative.”
