Accountable Engagement
We will hold ourselves and our stakeholders accountable through education, engagement, and communication throughout our discovery processes. We create intentional spaces for diversity of voices and methods to add value to our design process, build equity, and deliver a more robust product. We believe that the clients and external partners we work with all bring their unique skills and expertise to the work.

Research, Learning, and Unlearning
We will actively work to build a culture where diversity is both valued and respected. We own that we are new on this anti-racist journey, and there is still much to unlearn and unpack. With a focus on and investment in professional development, we aim to support each member of our team and foster growth mindsets.

Representation and Belonging
We will strategically plan for equitable representation within our organization through auditing and restructuring our talent management systems, practices, and policies. We will design an employee value proposition that demonstrates our commitment to equity. With this commitment, we aim to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in our team, leadership, partners, and client representation.

Reinvestment
We will actively work to disrupt barriers to access, opportunity, and resources within our creative community by partnering and collaborating with POC-owned design businesses, subcontractors, and vendors.

Sustainability Statement

J2 is committed to a culture of sustainability, minimizing the impact on our environment while supporting local businesses to source our supplies and consumable products.

Here is how we deliver on our sustainability mission:

  • We will consider the environmental impact of our physical office space and resources, and those we recommend for our clients. We are committed to the use of recycled, biodegradable, or plant-based materials.
  • We have built partnerships with hyper-local food and coffee companies to supply our team with delicious and sustainable nutrition and energy.
  • We continue to utilize video conferencing over travel wherever possible and have significantly minimized our use of printed paper and consumables.
  • We always consider and present more environmentally friendly options for our clients’ brand implementation and marketing collateral, such as recycled papers or biodegradable materials.
  • We maintain and encourage a diverse and participatory office culture that supports the conditions for our team’s commitment to sustainability.
