The first impression is everything—and we’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to make sure J2 Design is always putting our best foot forward. The overarching assignment of this position is to generate brand awareness and assist the team in securing opportunities with potential and existing clients.

As a key member of the Marketing and Business Development team, this person will be responsible for working closely with team members across the studio to secure opportunities to develop strategic and customized proposals for potential and existing clients. This person will also develop and deploy marketing and communications including managing and maintaining the website and social media, creating content for marketing collateral, and executing outbound marketing email campaigns.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Opportunity Tracking and Proposal Creation (70%):

  • Review RFPs to understand opportunity and response requirements
  • Directly contact potential clients to further develop an understanding of needs
  • Researching project background and decision-makers
  • Develop, edit, and proofread tailored proposals
  • Send proposals and follow-up on open opportunities
  • Meet strict deadlines by establishing priorities and tracking target dates
  • Work with studio leadership to strategize proposal content (scope, fee, case studies, references, work samples)
  • Preparing interview presentations for the development of key messages and win themes, and ensuring technical accuracy and consistency
  • Tracking opportunity status, using CRM (Copper) and coordinating debriefings
  • Assists in research of target markets and clients as directed

Marketing and Communications (30%):

  • Implement marketing strategies
  • Maintain studio website including updates to case studies, crafting and posting blog entries and minor edits
  • Take lead role developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy and manage studio social media outreach efforts
  • Create award and conference speaking submissions
  • Creates concepts for and coordinates production of collateral materials (i.e., brochures, direct mail)
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (business development, account management, creative, operations, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year degree and 2-7 years of related experience (internships included)
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency with the ability to get tasks done quickly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Excels at both written and verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers
  • Proven ability to work well independently and in a team
  • Previous professional social media experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Extremely detail oriented, dependable, and well-organized
  • Understanding of and commitment to client service
  • Adept at working independently, but also collaboratively.
  • Google Suite and InDesign experience preferred
